Performances Tailored to Your Event

“ You're chic and sophisticated, and you want the world to see that on your wedding day” -TLC

The nature of the harp alone adds touch of class to your wedding. Whether you prefer classical, contemporary or religious music, during a sacred or civil ceremony, harpist Brandee Younger works diligently to help bring your dream to life, unique to your personal style. Her repertoire draws from classical, French, jazz and contemporary romantic songs.  Hear some samples here.

Prelude

As your guests arrive, they are greeted with soothing music that will set the tone of your wedding. If your wedding is in a church, more formal music, including hymns and classical pieces are played. In less formal settings, classical, as well as contemporary love songs are played.

Examples:

Largo - Vivaldi

Endless Love - Lionel Richie

Seating of the Parents & Grandparents

The formal seating of the parents and grandparents is an indication that the ceremony has begun. Depending on the size of the party and length of the aisle, parents and grandparents may enter to the prelude music being played or a separate piece.

Examples:

Prelude in C - Bach

The Wind Beneath My Wings

Bridal Party Procession

During the processional, the wedding party walks or marches down the aisle. The bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearer and flower girl enter at this time. A piece with a steady, easy walking tempo is perfect. The most commonly requested piece is Canon in D.

Examples:

Canon in D

Ribbon in the Sky - Stevie Wonder

Procession

For the Bridal entrance, The Bridal Chorus is traditionally played. However, feel free to use any song. Brides have requested everything from Lonestar's "Amazed," to Beyonce's, "Dangerously In Love." Jill Scott's "He Loves Me" is also a common request.

Examples:

The Bridal March

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

During the Ceremony

It is optional, yet appropriate to have music playing during the ceremony. Music may be played as a solo during the ceremony, during the lighting of the Unity Candle, Holy Communion or after a prayer.

Examples:

The Rose

The Wedding Song

Recession

Immediately following the ceremony, The Wedding March is traditionally played as the newly married couple walks up the aisle. The Wedding March is just one example of the many upbeat, celebratory songs that could be used as your recessional.

Examples:

The Wedding March

Habanera Gris

Postlude

As during the prelude, music is played as guests leave the ceremony.

Cocktails/Dinner

Love songs are played, while your guests congratulate you! The harp creates the perfect ambiance for your cocktail hour. If your reception is small, the harp adds a special touch to your dinner.
